Following are discussions on the N-W & W-N Markings

I received those two scans from Peter Pugh who said:
 "I have an N W and a W N but they do not appear to be the same as the one that Harmon sent a scan of."
 I have the feeling that those NW, WN markings (and the one produced by Harmon) are hoaxes. They are struck on very cheap values with undistinct cancels. They do not look like security markings and I have a bad feeling about them. My opinion is that they are crude recent invention.
